Last summer I had a lesson with Laura. She kindly drove from her place to the arena where my horse and I were.
We worked on advanced exercises setting up and executing the flying lead change. She had some great strategies and tips that really helped me achieve my goal. Her instructions were very professional, clear and precise.
Western pleasure, in-hand skills with yearlings, trail obstacles and backing 2 year olds.
I want to thank Laura for the learning opportunity and her coaching expertise when we were at the Grasswood horse Park.
This was the first time that I seem Laura coaching, and I was very impressed with her ability to communicate with riders of different riding ability and age.
My own personal horse had issues with the water and she spent several hours helping me try to get into and over this obstacle.
Oh boy was my horse a challenge! But Laura maintained an extremely calm demeanor, used various techniques, and showed both respect to me and my horse and we did finally achieve our goal!
I told Laura about my dreams of how I wanted to do all of my own training and asked her if we should send away our horses to a trainer, as I wasn’t completely sure what I was doing. She said, “No way! You are perfectly capable of training these horses to ride yourself! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”
Since that day and every step of the way she has been so helpful. We have learnt an abundance of new things and I know for a fact that without her guidance and training we would never be where we are today. Laura has taught my husband and I how to be great horse people and that there is no one method of training rather finding what works for you and your horse.
Fast forward a year and a half and we are riding out on trails, doing arena work, doing fun patterns, learning to ride on our own and in a group but we are mainly learning and we will continue to learn every single day! I am so glad Laura came down my path. She has helped me succeed in making my dreams come true and for that I will be forever grateful!
