Harry is homozygous for the tobiano gene - so he will always produce tobiano coat pattern on a foal regardless of the mares color. By breeding homozygous tobiano we have eliminated the risks or producing breeding stocks and lethal white offspring. There is NO IMPRESSIVE bloodline in this pedigree - no HYPP offspring.
Harry is an "all-around" sire. He has produced APHA youth. novice & amatuer points earners in halter, color, showmanship, hunt seat equitation, hunter under saddle, western pleasure, trail, western horsmansip, numerous ROM earners and has sired Sask 50/50 money earners & Top 10.
His offspring are quickly earning the reputation of being amatuer and youth freindly that can easily be competitive and maintained at home. They are mature minded, sensible, easy starts, uncomplicated, and most of all honest and personable. We wouldn't keep breeding these colts if we didn't like riding them....we love em! They just seem to get better and better.
We bought Harry as a yearling and started him under saddle after his two year old breeding season. He was extremely easy to start and required little ground work and caught on quickly. His offspring are identical. He had absolutely no buck in him, no tricks up his sleeve and was always honest & willing to learn more. He has an awesome work ethic and is disciplined, athletic - yet focused under saddle - even through breeding season.
He is easy & willing to ride away "solo" from his mares during breeding season. He is quiet, gentle, passive & kind with exceptional ground manners and respect for people. When folks come to view mares and foals in pasture they sometimes have to enquire "which one is the stallion?", We can easily catch him in his 160 acre pasture & ride him bareback back and forth from home to the breeding pasture only once or twice a year....just like we rode him everyday.
We have taken him trail riding with groups of mares and geldings and is a gentleman on the trail. He readily accepts new tasks we ask of him. We have taught him to drive as well, often in the winter - instead of getting fat - he enjoys pulling the cutter.

He passes his kind, easy going nature onto his offspring. He has excellent bone and feet and is a low maintenance stallion. He has a gorgeous head that each offspring is stamped with. He produces correct, balanced beautifully marked babies. His offspring are very personable, friendly and love attention. They also are easy going, sensible, versatile, willing, and athletic.The started offspring are quiet, safe & honest. They possess both mature body and minds and are easily started without complications at two years of age.

His first foal crop is now 7 years old and all have matured to close to 16 hh - so we are getting alot of mature size on his offspring. Offspring are as diverse and versatile in their abilities as their owners. They compete in a wide variety of events from earning APHA show points to dressage, team roping and barrel racing. Harry's offspring hit the showpen (both breed and open show) 3 years ago (PRR CLASSY WHISKEY) earning APHA points in halter, color, showmanship, hunter under saddle, hunt seat equitation, trail, western pleasure and horsemanship (earned by a 3 year old) another filly has earned a PAC recognition. Started offspring are quiet, safe and honest. They are easy, uncomplicated starts for both youth and amatuer riders. They possess both mature body and minds and are ready to start basics as 2 year olds. |
